My coding story
The journey of a curious coder
From tinkering with HTML in my bedroom to building platforms that handle millions of transactions—here's how curiosity led me down this amazing rabbit hole.

This is where the magic happens! Working with amazing people who have big dreams and bold ideas. I've helped startups launch their first products, optimized e-commerce sites that were slower than dial-up, and built custom solutions that just work. Every project teaches me something new. Whether it's figuring out why a WooCommerce store is acting up or building a shiny new React app from scratch, I approach each challenge with curiosity and a genuine desire to make things better. The best part? I get to work with passionate founders, creative agencies, and teams who actually care about what they're building. No corporate politics, just good people making cool things.

Working with the NitroPack team was like joining a group of performance nerds who actually understood why a 0.5-second load time difference matters. We weren't just optimizing websites—we were making the internet a little bit faster, one WordPress site at a time. I spent my days diving deep into complex compatibility issues, building features that could handle the weird edge cases that only happen on high-traffic sites, and providing white-glove support to clients who needed their sites to be lightning fast. The coolest part was seeing our optimizations result in real impact—40% performance improvements that translated to better user experiences and higher conversion rates. Plus, I got to automate away a lot of the tedious deployment work, which made everyone's life easier.

This role was special—I got to wear multiple hats as both a hands-on developer and a mentor to an incredible team. We were building WooCommerce extensions that thousands of store owners would rely on, so there was no room for 'good enough.' Leading the development of WP Easy Pay, WP Formify, and CashCred taught me that great products come from understanding real user pain points. We weren't just coding; we were solving actual problems that kept e-commerce owners up at night. The mentoring aspect was incredibly rewarding. Watching junior developers grow into confident problem-solvers, establishing coding standards that actually made sense, and creating a culture where everyone felt safe to ask questions and experiment—those are the memories I treasure most from this chapter.

Building eWorldTrade was like constructing a digital marketplace from the ground up. We were handling serious money—$5M+ monthly transactions—which meant every line of code had to be bulletproof. The security challenges were fascinating and terrifying in equal measure. When you're processing that much money, hackers notice. Implementing security measures that reduced fraud by 90% felt like winning a digital game of chess against really smart opponents. I also got my hands dirty with Python and web scraping, building automated systems that could gather market intelligence faster than any human could. It was my first real taste of how automation could transform business operations.

This was where I learned that building from scratch can be both exhilarating and humbling. Creating a price comparison platform that could handle 100,000+ daily comparisons taught me everything about performance optimization the hard way. Every database query mattered. Every caching decision could make or break the user experience. I became obsessed with making things fast—not just because it was technically interesting, but because I knew real people were waiting for those price comparisons to load. The platform architecture I built during those two years became the foundation for understanding how to scale systems properly. It was my first taste of the satisfaction that comes from building something that actually works under pressure.
